Say "Yes" to Cloth Bags

Nearly 100 people from different walks of life responded to an appeal from Vishwa and RuR and came together to participate in a Human Chain to promote reusable cloth bags held at Pali Hill market, Bandra on March 29, 2010.

The programme was aimed at educating, encouraging and creating awareness among the public to cultivate the habit of carrying a cloth bag while going to the market and thus reduce the consumption of plastic bags which are already having a disastrous impact on the environment.

Human Chain to Promote Recycling

Volunteers of Vishwa and RuR joined hands with members of the public at Citilight market, Mahim on March 28, 2010 to urge shoppers and vendors to stop using plastic bags and switch to reusable cloth bags instead. While displaying posters and banners with appropriate messages, they also sold easily affordable cloth bags to enable those who agreed with the message to implement it on the spot.
