About ISVS
The Institute for Studies in Vedic Sciences (ISVS) are the main promoters of VISHWA 2009. Headed by Param Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj, a divine yogi, the institute was nurtured into a multi dimensional project. The ashram is situated at Shivpuri, the Holy Yajnya Nagar, for propagation of Vedic culture in the Akkalkot area in Solapur, India.

His followers evolved the Institute for Studies in Vedic Sciences (ISVS) which was formed in 1995 with an aim to find sustainable solutions to all the key challenges facing our civilization. Going back to the Vedas and spreading that knowledge is their thrust. The ancient scriptures contain numerous concepts that can be helpful in developing eco-friendly solutions to overcome the environmental problems we face today. From Air Purification to Organic Farming and Holistic Healthcare, highly motivated volunteers are working on creating a beautiful world for all of us to live in.

Agnihotra

This is an event conducted by ISVS as a part of their major activities. Agnihotra is a process of purification of the atmosphere as a cumulative effect of various scientific principles harnessed to give rise to an unparalled purifying and healing phenomenon. According to the Vedic science, Agnihotra balances the cycle of nature and nourishes the human life. It creates pure, clean and medicinal atmosphere. It cleanses the negative effects of pollution. The latest event in this category was carried out in March 2009 at Pune, India.

VISHWA ’09 is yet our major step towards creating national and international awareness about such eco-friendly solutions. For futher information visit www.shivpuri.org
